Good afternoon everyone! I am contestant number???I work at the Physical Education Department, my name is Feng Jian-rong and my topic is: Happy birthday to you—Henan Agriculture University

Ladies and Gentlemen,   First, let me tell you how old our university is, it is 100 years old, but do you know what is the meaning of the 100 years old, ok let us count, it is 1200 monthes, it is 36500 days,and it is 876000hours,oh my God ,how can we count the minutes and the seconds, it is so much, our university has  passed one century.

Let us go to a century ago, I will introduce our university to you

Our  university was formally established in 1912,however, it has been proved that it should be dated back to 1902, the year when Henan Public Agricultural College was established in Kaifeng. From Kaifeng it moved to Zhengzhou in 1957. Its name has changed a lot of times until in 1984 the name Henan Agriculture University was eventually given to it.

It  has also moved with the time over the past 100 years and evolved from a college into an university of many disciplines. it shares the global challenges at the forefront of higher education developments. It has witnessed all the changes in China.

Ladies and Gentlemen, our university had modest beginnings. it has been the hard work of all members of the Family which transformed it,  including our staff, students and teachers, and the unfailing support of  the local Government , especially our headmasters who believe in our cause, that have brought us to where we are today

As the world continues to change, our university will continue to evolve, and we are committed to keeping ourselves at the forefront of developments of humankind. Now we have Long Zi Hu new part which is still under construction; it is a very nice and large place. it will make our university more beautiful and international in the future.

Indeed, universities are among the most enduring institutions of any society; they are its soul and they bring hope. Like me.

I still remembered eight years ago, when I entered our university; I just finished my studying; found a job here and started the new life. Remembering when I first came here, I was so young and simple, but now I changed a lot and become confident and independent. All these changes happened because of our university, because it tells me never be late when you have class; it tells me give your students as much as you can because you are a teacher; and it tells me continue to study because knowledge is changing every day; it tells me so much, so I do what it tells me.

Today our university remains a guardian of knowledge, an incubator of ideas and innovations, a cradle for new intellect and talent, and a pioneer in social consciousness and responsibility. It will be our vision for excellence, our aspiration for freedom, our devotion to students’ learning, our dream to make first level university
